Pardon Our Dust!

Work is currently underway to turn Room 219 into a multi-purpose Digital Classroom. This has been largely funded by a donor gift to Pastor Sam, and this space will serve a host of disciple-making and educational ministry opportunities across our church, including conference room space, remote teaching, podcasting and other content recording, and Pastor Sam’s and Pastor Gabriel’s ongoing teaching and content creation for Sermon Audio Español.

Member Loan Opportunity

Last Sunday, the Lord continued to clearly lead our church family into the future through our vote to affirm the purchase of the adjacent land. Our bank is willing to increase our existing loan to cover the purchase price; however, we have had good success in the past using member loans instead of a bank loan, and if possible we would like to do this again. The member loans pay 5% interest and the term can be as little as one year.

If you are interested in helping in this way, please contact Charles Naselli for full details. We need loan commitments by August 30 and funding in mid-October. Of course, if you would like to make a gift towards the land purchase, that reduces the amount of money we will need to borrow.

PBC Worship Team and CHoir

THE PBC WORSHIP CHOIR sings during some worship services and for Christmas, and will resume practices THIS SUNDAY, August 23. We’ll have a meeting that morning between services and our first rehearsal that afternoon. Any high schoolers & adults interested in singing with us, please see the schedule below and plan to join us!

New Hope Group: Men of Integrity

Mondays beginning September 14, we are launching our first Hope Group, called Men of Integrity. The focus of this group is to help men struggling with lust, sexual sins, and temptations. This 13-week class will take place at the church campus.

Volunteer Opportunities

Serve with us in ESL!

For a long time now, our country has experienced a worsening epidemic of teens growing up without a loving adult that cares about them, a problem that only perpetuates itself as those teens grow into adulthood. This reality is true in communities all around us. About 6 years ago, one of our members, Phil Beardslee, responded to that situation by starting a non-profit called Cultivate Sports, which focuses on spreading hope and impacting the lives of youth and families in underserved communities. He has partnered with Welcome Baptist and now PBC for several years now, creating gospel-inroads into our local community via sports. Alongside ESL, Cultivate Sports is another strategic local initiative that we want to continue to invest in as we seek to make disciples in the community God has placed us.

In just a few weeks, Cultivate Sports will be starting a new year of their after-school initiative, dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for middle and high school students. This takes place right here on our campus, every Wednesday afternoon starting September 9. Phil is looking to partner with a few men who would be wiling to serve as facilitators and run one Wednesday night a month, or as players who would be willing to simply play with the teens and forge mentoring relationships with them—become a teammate in life for these kids. He’s also looking for individuals or families who could serve occasionally by providing or serving dinner on those nights.
